Looking for a seasonal job or dreaming of becoming a gelato professional?
In Italy, 7 out of 10 people are dissatisfied with their job. This is the finding of a survey conducted by a research company that interviewed 1,200 individuals between the ages of 18 and 65. It’s a result that gives pause, especially considering we are in a time of high unemployment, when those who have a job should, in theory, feel more than satisfied.
One of the main reasons for dissatisfaction seems to be the lack of motivation and passion in carrying out the job one is paid for. This is not only a problem for the worker but also for the employer who offered that job. Of course, this is neither the workers’ fault nor the entrepreneurs’. Unfortunately, we live in a country like Italy that does little for the former and even less for the latter, suffocating both with pointless taxes that, all too often, end up being higher than the wages themselves.
But what’s the solution?
In a situation like this, working alongside other people with skills different from yours remains the only thing that can turn around this feeling of dissatisfaction.
Results as a source of motivation
You can wake up every morning with the best intentions in the world, but if the results don’t come, sooner or later, your motivation will drop. And to achieve the best results, you need to work hard and be prepared.
It’s not enough to be a good counter clerk; you must above all be an excellent salesperson. It’s not enough to be a good ice cream maker; you must above all be an excellent manager. It’s not enough to be a good pastry chef; you must be perfect
